Symonds Yat. Geese nesting top of the pinnacle

Symonds Yat

Might be the wrong forum, but as the title says, there are a pair of geese nesting at the top of the pinnacle on the river side. We climbed Vertigo (S 4a) and kept well out of their way, and can be easily avoided if belaying from the ledge just below the top. This will probably cause issues with routes such as Whitt (VS 4c) and others that go up the far side.

That's awesome!

Those geese have an eye for prime real estate.

In reply to slucas:

Sure do. They were pretty content with me up there, just watching me. Didn't fancy wrestling a goose at the top!

I've heard you can actually abseil off a goose, they're that sturdy!

I remember almost stumbling over a duck at the top of the White Wall...

I used to use geese as gear but my partner never got them out as he was always swanning around.

A 2.5 fox might sort them out.

I'm too chicken to use them.

The Goslings are gonna have a hell of a leap of faith to get to the river......unless they down climb a route?
