New to the group and currently looking for a replacement to my faithful old yellows....

Searching through t'interweb had me come across a different pair called "La Sportiva M NEPAL EVO WORK GTX".

Does anyone know what the "work" part signifies, as i cant find anything out online, and they arent listed on the Sportiva website either? (Kinda wondering if it means steel toe cap

That's interesting - I was wondering what job you might want a fully rigid mountain boot that is oil resistant for. Athough do lifties need rigid boots that often? Things like Sorels would be much warmer if you didn't need that rigidity.

Good point. I have a great big pair of Keens that I used to use for standing around in the snow supervising sledging kids. Look like snowboard boots, but comfier.

Dunno, never asked. Maybe they want something they could also use for free time mountain related activities.
