Reads like something that's been thrown through Google translate and back a few times.

At least the advice to turn back if you're not comfortable or the weather turns and to let someone know where you're going is right.

In reply to J101:

You've got some stamina....Reading that lady bird book.

Looks a lot to me like someone is playing with AI content generation - a current hot topic. Here's an explainer:

There are 282 monkeys all over Scotland

And though the monkeys were rather small,

They had to count them all.

Now they know how many monkeys it takes to fill The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall...

Looks like Dale is a prime example of those who benefited from the world class Scottish Education system.

It's absolutely staggering that 'Positively Scottish' has allowed that to be posted and has not taken it down yet. Certainly the first and last time I'll bother to look at their website.

I'd never heard of the publication before but glanced at a couple of other stories, all equally badly written.

I looked at the menu of articles and they all appear to be written by the same person with the same inimitable 'style'.

Exactly - it's just some commercial crap (possibly auto-generated) making money by advertising hits.

The same shysters behind it probably run 'postively-polski.pl,' 'positively-francais.fr', etc. etc. etc.

Just ignore it and move on.

Did the author used to write flat pack instructions for Chinese manufacturers?

Whatever else, they got this in:

If you are not an expert, Try climbing only in summer. Don’t be afraid to leave Ascent and go back. If the weather suddenly changes, which is quite common in these parts, or the climb becomes very difficult for you, do not force yourself to proceed to the top. Always go together By a more experienced traveler, so that he can pass on some advice for the ascension and teach you how to read the map and orient yourself with the compass. Always tell someone when you are going, where you are going and when you plan to return.
