Patagonia only make the DAS parka in men's sizes and ME are the same with the Fitzroy and Citadel. What's the best heavier weight synthetic belay jacket out there for women at the moment?

Hi, Patagonia's site shows a women's DAS. Unsure though where in UK stocks it, but you can buy direct from Patagonia, but there could be post-Brexit hefty customs charges if it comes from the continent.

FWIW I do think the DAS is the best there is!

I've just picked up a black diamond one for my partner from Outside in Heathersage. My mate brought the mens I was amazed at the value for money so I grabbed her one. I think it was about £160 ish. 

The best heavyweight womens belay jacket currently on the market is the Fjern Husly, but I think it's being discontinued and the last ones were recently sold. They were selling for £80 on SportsPursuit so you can imagine why. I'd hunt around and see if I could find one from a third party.

There aren't really any other women specific heavyweight synthetic belay jackets around. Black Diamond Stance is rubbish these days using really shoddy materials, and any of the other brands aren't true heavyweights (Patagonia Das is 133+40gsm in the body, for comparison in the body Fjern Husly is 170+190gsm).

Sadly not available anymore but I got my partner a Rab Photon X women’s second hand. I’ve got the men’s and it’s brilliant, she’s over the moon with hers and we now match! 

Mrs B just got a Rab Nebula Pro, a lovely jacket with the new Cirrus insulation. It weighs in at 566g but it contains more insulation than most, and seems very warm. She is delighted with it.
