At the start of the first lockdown I bought a new climbing sack - a Mountain Hardwear Scrambler 35. I'm happy with it but because of the pandemic I've really only used it for walking and a bit of scrambling.
It has a couple of gear loops and I'm debating whether to chop them. They look kind of odd and they get hooked over things. I've done the odd multi-pitch route pre-lockdowns, and hope to do more, but I've never felt that my harness loops would be insufficient for anything in my modest range.
I like my gear to be simple and tend to distrust stuff I don't think I'll need. So before I get the scissors out, is there some use or point to them that I'm missing?
