Going to be down near Dumfries tomorrow, going to sneak in some a bit soloing for half a day. Any recommendations for crags down that way with quality routes about HS - HVS ?

small crag, short routes, and piss easy to get to. the climbing is often better than the scrappyness that the crag looks like on first appearance. (grades are often on the soft side)

We had a really fun few days there, visiting:

Crammag Head

Laggantalluch

Corwar

Beautiful spot, and well off the beaten track! Photos, approach beta, route recommendations and a link to online topos on the blog:

Enjoy! Cheers, Dom

Soloed some good, long H Severes on clean granite at Clints of Dromore. Central Buttress and Spare Rib.  Interesting spot with very easy access, yet in the middle of nowhere. Plenty more to go at there, although I didn't get as far as the Black and White walls which has more starred routes...

Not been to Corwar but I wouldn't recommend the others for a half day soloing from Dumfries! Great crags though.

Oops - completely missed the word "soloing" in the OP! Doh!
