Hi all,

I am about to venture into the world of fast packing and am hoping to use some of my existing trail running gear.

For my shell jacket I was wondering whether my existing Montane Minimus Stretch Ultra jacket is robust enough.

Does anyone have any experience of this scenario and would be happy to share thoughts?

Cheers

Mark

I have. I find the minimus to be pretty damn good... to a point. It won't last long. I've used a minimus on runs but once I started using it with a pack on the inner started delaminating under the rucksack straps after a couple of outings.

Now I use the Montane Pack Plus

I have one (£45 from the montane outlet store) it’s good for when you don’t really expect a lot of water but not really substantial for heavy rain. I agree with the de-lam comments.
