The BMC have been told of issues with climbers potentially disturbing pupping seals at a couple of venues along the Pembrokeshire coast, espacially at Hobbyhorse Bay and Linney Head.  This time of year is a key time for seals to haul out for pupping and climbers are asked to ensure that there are no seals around before committing to abseil to in to sea cliffs to avoid disturbance.

Also, the BMC have been informed by the MoD that there is a month long "strategic and tactical military excercise" on both Range East and Range West at the Castlemartin Ranges at Pembrokeshire. This means that there is no access at all to Range West from Sept 13th to October 15th, and weekend access only for Range East (St Govans to Stack Rocks). The road from Bosherston to St Govans will remain closed during all mid-week days during firing times.
