Just looking for suggestions.

My partner and I are in a fortunate position and able to get away for a month Jan-Feb time. Having decided on Leonidio for various reasons I’m now in the position looking for accommodation.

Most places seem to offer no refunds at all if cancelled, plus I genuinely can’t seem to find insurance that will cover COVID related cancellations if travel isn’t possible. Maybe I’m not reading something right but in short it’s not obvious, especially if a cancellation is required due to gov issued guidance changing.

Accomm for a month isn’t cheap… Do I gamble and book? Or wait to see what happens?

Any other ideas welcome!

Book the first week, then extend if/when you are out there…:

We are heading there next week for a month. Understandably, month long bookings have tougher cancellation clauses but you also get a discount.
When we were booking at least, shorter bookings had much better cancellation terms. If you don’t mind moving around you could book a couple of different places. Or as mentioned,  book the first week and then wing it.

The campsite at Plaka (Camping Semeli) also has half a dozen very comfortable apartments - we used them as a base for a SunRock meet a couple of years ago. Highly recommended and I imagine they'd be quite pragmatic about cancellation etc.
