Clicked your link and got it in one. I rather doubt I'll be alone on here for that one.

I can't help but agree!

In the settings there's an option to hide the image, which I think would provide a far better challenge.
Me too, sort of. My first guess was Tibet but that was an "unknown country".
Help, I have been disWordled and life is meaningless. The first day it became NYT I clicked "no" for the cookies on my phone, and now just get a blank screen. Any ideas?
I know it said "Guess" but it really wasn't - I'm sure there are many countries whose shape I wouldn't just know but an outdoor community who commonly deal with maps are likely to have a better than average knowledge (or memory) of such things.
Or maybe we just have a higher proportion of geeks 😁

> In 3 today. Quite tough.
> Wordle 240 3/6
I thought it was exceptionally tough. I got it in three, but getting the correct word took me at least half an hour.
My first two words, which deliberately included all the vowels plus the most common consonants, gave me this:
⬜⬜⬜🟩🟨
⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜
Which told me that the first three letters had to be three consonants together, including an N (the letter in the orange square).
There's only one word in the English language - not particularly obscure - that does it. I'll have to confess that I had to use Crossword Solver to find it.
My first guess was Mongolia. I got it second guess.
I suspect there may be quite a few on this site whose strongest hand in Trivial Pursuit or Pub Quizzes is geography.
If you brag about your result and post it on here as I did the link that comes with it is a spoiler. Oops.

It's an android, and I haven't found anything that sounds like the above. Hey ho, not to worry, but thank you.

Hmmm, not feeling so smug today - took 5 ☹
They chose a good word!
We're on the wrong thread, but I found another answer today that fits your first two words. It uses the one remaining vowel twice. Unfortunately I used it as my third guess, so scored another four today.
Martin
I've got no idea what wordle or worldle are but the BBC recently had a map on the news website which showed Nepal and China but Tibet had vanished. Sad times 😔
Today’s Wordle has two potential answers. This came to light after discovering my wife got a completely different word to me. Was very confused until I googled it. Don’t click if you’ve not solved today’s puzzle:

Worldle has been eclipsed by Wordle on this thread.
I have definitely done it in two twice - I boasted, sorry, posted about my good fortune in each one of them on here. But now Wordle says I've only done that once. What did I do to offend it?
Watch out, those of you calculating your running average.
Just re-read the title. Doh!
Sorted! Just needed a different browser.

Indeed. Took me 5 too.

Only a guess saved it from being 6.
Wordle in 4, as usual. It's very rare for me to get any more or less than that.
But I got sweardle in 1 today! That is an event. Finally the word I always use for my first guess came up. What do I do now, is it time for a new starting word?
> Wordle in 4, as usual. It's very rare for me to get any more or less than that.
How do you ensure that after three goes you very rarely have more than one option? Are you using hard mode ie where you have to reuse letters that you have been told are in the solution?
It seems to be more luck than anything. A few times I've had to do multiple guesses to get the last letter, but I nearly always manage to get the right one by the 4th guess. I always play hard mode, the fun part is trying to come up with a word that uses the known letters. Otherwise I'd just have two or three standard starting words every time.
Edit: Of course having said that I always get it in 4 I've jinxed myself.

5 for me too, too many possibilities of well known words so just luck whether you got it in 3 or 6.
You were just unlucky having got your 4 greens on try 2 that you only got the answer as the last of the 4 possibilities. Actually just realised that there are at least 7 (I think that's all) possibilities so you could have bombed out.
Worldl Thursday: keep 'em coming like that!!!
6 for me today too. First time I've scored more than 5. I play easy mode which I think is more fun when faced with today's situation. At line 4, instead of just pot luck, with 5 possible answers with my four already known letters, (7, if I'd not already eliminated two of the options for the missing letter) I was able to narrow down the options by choosing a word containing as many of the possible missing letters as I could - more thinking rather than just guessing. I was left with just two options on line 5 but chose the wrong one!
Martin
I suppose that is a problem with' Hard mode'. If you are in ordinary mode and realise there are multiple possible letters you can decide between making random choices or using a line to eliminate likely candidates.

Almost had it in two, lucky to get it in four.
Worldle is great, even if today was a bit too easy. Of recent ones, the central Euopean one was also very easy, but the West African one was quite hard!

Whoaaaaa got today's in 4. Super hard 💪💪💪
I hope no-one failed to get today's in one! (if so, where have you been....)

I have admonished my (adult) children appropriately 😁
Looked a little inaccurate to me...
