What a brilliant book.

I have read it through twice, Grayson Perry's take on masculinity is brilliant.

Just from the perspective of a climber and how I look at my own motivations and the people around me it's worthwhile.

If you only read one book this year, read The Decent of Man.

Is it about caving?

I thought it started out strong with some good insights then fizzled out.

Descents ain't as decent as they used to be?... Blame devolution.

I can see where you are coming from, maybe the message did not warrant, 140 pages, but it does warrant a book.

I thought it was well written and did come to some kind of conclusion and an action plan.

I do think most men should read it.

How often are women pedants, is pedantry a sign of masculine willy waving.

There should be a question mark at the end of that sentence.  

And, "How often are women pedants?" is more correct.

Mr Google calls the book Descent of Man. I’d not heard of it and wondered, with Grayson Perry being the author, whether it might be some sort of play on words.

I have a lot of time for Perry, a very thought-provoking man. He did the Reith Lectures a few years back and was brilliant. They’re on you tube I think.

I highly recommend.

It is Descent. His core thing is that for more equality, some people will have to go down, as not everyone can go up.

In this case the people going down would be White Middle Class men, he says it would be better for the world in general, and WMC as well.
