Birthday Card

Does anyone know of a decent online source of birthday cards. It's the Mrs' birthday in a few weeks and, as it's a "big" birthday I wanted to get something special.
I find it increasingly difficult to buy cards, either in shop or online. Most seem to fall into the categories of smutty to downright obscene; age specific; relative specific or just generally rubbish, inappropriate for a LADY of a certain age and taste. I know that the Mrs prefers something that is not tacky, has a bit of nice artistry to it with no over smarmy verse inside.
I used to use Moonpig but even they seem to be catering only for the tasteless end of the market.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Etsy is a hub of artists proffering their wares

https://www.etsy.com/uk/search?q=birthday%20cards&ref=auto-1&as_pre...

It would be good if you could filter the results there to find an artist in your locality but I'm not convinced that's possible.

My family like using Etsy (even though there was a big scam unearthed whereby folk had been buying stuff from Home Bargains and selling it on Etsy !!).

Another option is making one via Photobox or similar, based on a favourite photo?

You can get your own photo's professionally printed onto cards. But home printing and mounting it yourself on card (or you can buy blank cards for crafting very cheaply) would be the way id look to go.

Maybe a something from a previous milestone birthday that will bring back memories, or just a really nice photo from a holiday you had together. Far more personal than a bought card.

I did an online group card from ellacard.com, and got friends to sign.  Then I printed the whole thing out and made it into a booklet. It seemed to be pretty well received, and was an opportunity to stay in touch with some old friends.

Some nice physical cards available from rosiemadeathing.co.uk

Hope this helps

Should I be worried that I only see 'death' in that url...?

Bit like the the 'penisland', 'powergenitalia' and 'therapistfinder' sites...

I can heartily recommend Thelittlestfalcon for stuff like this.

She is on Etsy too. All hand made linocuts. Mainly of animals.

You say you've given up on Moonpig because the cards are all too tasteless, but you can design your own card and make it as personal/appropriate as you like. Of course if you want something designed by someone who's never met your wife there are options above.

Another vote for Etsy.  Usually more stuff there than on the other online card shops.
