Been about 6 years since I’ve been to North Wales for various life reasons

keen to get back for a weekend and need up to date campsite advice as I think lots has changed since 2015.

dolgam in chapel curing was always good as you could just rock up.

the on opposite the vaynol in nant peris was also great and cheap.

what are the options these days? Please tell me you don’t have to book?!?

The one near the Vaynol has improved - more toilets! Probably get in on out of season weekends but there's a lot of people wanting to camp nowdays!

not sure being near the Vaynol is such a good thing.
camped at the one in Capel last weekend. Very good.

I'd be curious to know know booking works at those - it's not like they have marked pitches...

Sadly turning up at midnight unannounced and paying a farmer in the morning seems to be increasingly a thing of the past, even prior to Covid.

camping llanberis is good , i was there last weekend , £10 a night is good , showers are £1 but hot and decent enough , short walk down the hill into town etc

Does anyone know if the campsite (hot and cold showers) in Nant Peris is going to reopen? I last stayed there in 2019 but it seems to be closed since covid
