The annual 'Pint of Science' international festival of science talks in pubs, cafes etc. is happening next week - all sorts of interesting things going on 9th-11th May.

For anyone in Glasgow, I recommend The Parasite Diaries event at Drygate (https://pintofscience.co.uk/event/the-parasite-diaries). Absolutely not biased because the speakers are all from the Parasitology department that I work in  

Parasites and Drygate, what's not to like!

I went to one of those a few years back in Bath.  Very good too; I even took home a few freebies for suggesting that someone researching chillies get in touch with someone researching cannabis.

(Part of my past working life involved setting up regular outreach talks at the lab I used to work at.)
