This morning. From a hide. You could hear it munch!

Black tailed godwits at my new fav place. A water rail flew past (saw one mooching about the other day), a marsh harrier spent a few minutes quartering, and lots of other stuff. Al this in stunning weather. I even had to change out of my Ron’s and into a pair of shorts it was so hot.

The little gull came over, looking well cool.

And the oddest thing was two whooper swans at a nearby Loch/pond. Birds I normally associate with ice, wind and having to wear two fleeces. Not shorts and tea shirt.  And that’s the birds!

Beautiful, a few years back we were staying in a B&B in Pitlochry and a pair of reds came to the garden every morning whilst we were having our breakfast.

Basic Nikon dslr with a sigma 600 mm zoom.

Got chatting to some bloke whose is a professional photographer (motorbikes).  Showed me his kit and let me have a go. Wow!  He had 300 mm Nixon prime with a top end camera (45 mega pixels or thereabouts).  Bloody pricey though. The autofocus was amazing - instant.

Thanks.  Things have moved on a bit since Pentax, Chinon, Yashica Olympus  etc., SLRs, slides and film to say the least.
