I have a Robens Vista 500, a polycotton tent bought about 12 years ago. You don’t see many about but it’s been great for car camping in summer, and it stands up to a surprising amount of weather. Now I’ve gone and broken a pole, mainly through carelessness/hurry. The joining piece (I don’t know the right term - if it was wood it be a dowel) has sheared and deformed next to a plastic moulding that forms a junction of poles. Hopefully there’s a picture attached which shows what I mean.
The tent is otherwise still in good condition, but Robens say they can’t supply a replacement pole. I have no metal working skills or tools. Can anyone suggest a way to bodge up the pole so I can still use the tent?
