There's a white ab rope hanging from the top of the Shelterstone to the bottom of The Pin. It looks like it might have been there for a while but we weren't sure. Does anyone know what the story is? Left by someone working a hard route on the slabs or a relic from an epic were our best guesses.

Jules!

Can’t see him leaving it like that.

Maybe he was foutering around somewhere on the slabs out of sight!

Is that something he does?

It looked in OK nick but there were a few furry spots that made me think it had blown about a bit.

Whatever the reason, abbing down from the top has got to be more preferable to climbing up from below if you're doing it multiple times.

Jules was in there doing another new route on Thursday.

Cheers Gary, that seems the most likely explanation. It was Thursday we were there but didn't see anyone else.
