Hi!

I've been looking for multipitch sport crags to get some mileage on/introduce my partner to multipitch on before trips away this year...

But I've only come across one place in the whole of Scotland:

Does anyone know of anything else around? We're in Edinburgh so northern England may also be viable (as we're already looking at a 4hr drive north if we go to the mound!)

Cheers, Rich

In reply to Rich Jenkin:

There are also a handful on the sector called Top Deck at Goat Crag.

Whether it would be worth the journey just to introduce the things involved in a belay stance is maybe questionable though.

It might be simpler to find a route closer to home that has a decent ledge on it and splitting that into two pitches? I don't know whether you have trad gear, but you could certainly mock up a sport changeover easily enough that way too.

A few of the easier routes at north Berwick law could be engineered as multi pitch at a push.

In reply to Rich Jenkin:

Left arete at comic crag has a double bolt belay at halfway, allowing for it to be climbed in two pitches.

There is also a bolted pitch below the left hand routes which creates another 2 pitch option.

There are about 5 x long two pitch routes here and bunch of single pitch routes too. Not much of a topo at the moment but might be one in a few months
