Are forestry operations still limiting access around Ardgarten forest and Coilessan Glen, near Arrochar?

There is work going on nearer the south end of the forest road that leads to the Duke's Path. Clearfell and extraction were happening when I cycled that way a week ago. No problems with access though.

All the major road construction work ,that was happening a year or two ago ,seems to be finished. There were timber stacks at the junction where a road leads up to Coilessan Glen but can't say whether any work was going on up there.

The big parking area at the end of the wee tarmac road is all clear and usable, that road being in a rather potholed state from Ardgarten. 

Brilliant.

How is that road, from the visitor centre to car park,  to drive? I imagine winter and heavy vehicles have done it no favours. Once burst a tyre on it but that going back more than 10 years

The Visitor Centre is no more.

Lot of large potholes and areas of hardcore trying to fill the worst of them. But fine if you're not rallying along, or in the pitch dark 'or an owner of low profile tyres.
