Graham Lynch not at work! 23 May 2004
To all who helped out at Rivelin clearing wood today (including David the chainsaw maestro and owner) - a big thank you for turning out, especially Bunny for organising.

On a more sombre note - we all hope the climber who had to be heli'd out makes a speedy and full recovery.

anyone thing this kinda thing is totally unnecessary? unless theres something wrong with the trees, i don't see the need to chop them down.
Muz 25 May 2004
In reply to Anonymous: It's all to do with land management. It's classed as a Oak woodland and there is a higher percentage of beech. Also the point was that some one had been chopping at trees to access the crag better without the permission of the owner, so it needed tidying.

All discussed before on the other thread.

In reply to francois:

His friend started another thread on Monday - you could email him and see how he's doing, perhaps?

Can you send me the link for the thread please?
Muz 28 May 2004
In reply to francois: This may or may not work.

In reply to francois:

I just had an email from Antoine, the climber who was injured. He spent 5 days in hospital following the accident but is doing fine now.
He sent his thanks to those who helped out.
