You kinda forgot another dude flashing Gaia. This video even suggests he onsighted it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYbRNt4GjXEl

But: "The 23 year old Californian commented on 8a.nu after the ascent: "Not a true onsight since I've seen movies, but there was no chalk".

Ryan Pasquill has flashed Gaia as well I think https://climbing-history.org/climber/137/ryan-pasquill

Have to say I don't envy you writing these, must be impossible to keep track of who's done what.

Thanks!

Mark did it ground-up. Not that this detracts from his ascent at all, as it was one of the most impressive and inspiring I can think of, and was immortalised through Mike Cheque’s similarly superb Stonnis film.

Having had a few sessions on Gaia I really can’t imagine getting committed on that top section without knowing exactly what I’m going to do next. It’s so subtle, so complex, and so easy to become unbalanced - plus no one in their right mind wants to take THAT fall 😱
