The brief is to design four banner adverts for climbing products from La Sportiva, Beal and Petzl using images from their websites and you can incorporate some of your own images.

I'm a graphic designer as well as having a fondness for fondling all things shiny. With these two afflictions I figured I'd be mad not to enter. C-:

Constructive criticism and praise is welcomed.

Very nice. particularly like #4. My one minor niggle is the over-use of drop shadow, but other than that, very good.
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com: do u fnacy steve mcclure???? hahaha

In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com: Never that keen on drop-shadowed text like that but aside from that I like them!

In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

Very good indeed. It's good to see that someone has actually read the brief, especially the last sentence:

THE DETAILS

Your brief is to design FOUR graphic adverts (sizes below) for any products from either Sportiva, Beal or Petzl. The products can be all from one company or a mix of products from all three companies.

The graphic adverts are to be product adverts, extolling the virtue of the particular products that you choose.

I hope this will be taken into account by the judges.

Thanks all!

Drop shadows etc.... yeah, you love 'em or hate 'em, eh? In this case I just wanted to give them a bit of depth as they looked a bit flat - it's all subjective though, isn't it?

Cheers for the bit about sticking to the brief, Franklin. There were so many things I could have done for this competition but the brief was pretty specific so played it safe. The only tenuous one is the Solution ad, but I liked the play on words so kept it!

Good luck to everyone else, some nice entries.

Mick - when are the results are due? Have we seen all the entries now?
