Of the thousands of climate activists who have flocked to COP26 in Glasgow, several groups came on foot. What makes the simple act of walking, in some cases for months, an effective means of protest and awareness-raising, and what did they hope to achieve through this modern sort of pilgrimage connecting communities, people and the land through which they slowly travelled? Two walking activists tell us more.
