David Mason, usually known for his bouldering, has recently turned his hand to trad climbing, with impressive results. He has recently made quick headpoints and bold flash ascents of some hard grit classics...

Incidentally for Gaia the belay is usually rigged so the belayer can sprint if needs be.

Nige has screwed ankles and can only hobble...

Sorry to be a pedant but the Unfamiliar picture is captioned 'solitary runner' and the photo shows two runners.
