Mick Fowler and Paul Ramsden have made the first ascent of Kishtwar Kailash (6451m) in the Indian Himalaya. The pair reached the summit by a route on its 1500m southwest face, with mixed climbing up to Scottish VI.
In reply to GrahamD: I remember meeting Mick one night in The Padarn, he burst out laughing telling me he had just made a second ascent of a route of mine on The Culm, 'whats so funny' I asked, 'well' he said, 'it's ridiculously solid'
I guess a few of his routes don't hang around long enough for a second ascent ! Not sure if its true or not, but there was a story about a council demolishing a small stack on which he'd just done a route because the stack was a public safety hazard. Deserves to be true even if its not.
In reply to GrahamD: Demolition Man at Beachy head in 1983, followed by Demolitian Men up the remains in 1990, which collapsed naturally soon after his ascent.
