Fascinating, thanks! Back in 1995 I spent a night in the camp at the end of the road in Wadi Rum with a Palestinian GF, I didn't appreciate at that time what a risk she was taking. I remember hearing the Bedouin singing late at night; the very faintest sound on the threshold of hearing. They sing for the joy of hearing their voices reverberating around the rocks.... and probably because they can't sleep after all the strong coffee they drink!
