"During the last 12 months, Chris has done two 9bs, two 9a+, four 9as and three 8c onsight."
That's an impressive ticklist for a lifetime of climbing, let alone 12 months!

In reply to UKC News: So is Sharma generally considered by those in the know to be back at the top of the sport then? I know around the time Patxi Usogobia (?) onsighted that 8c+, and adam ondra and edu marin etc were crushing in siurana, there was talk that perhaps Sharma wasnt the best in the world. Recently though he seems to be producing a LOT of hard routes. Is it a case of we only here about his? Or is it that Usogobia/Ramon Julien etc are all in their 6 month training period or something?

Or is he the best? Sounds that way. Impressive stuff. They look like small holds for him too!

When was this? I don't recall ever hearing that he had given the Peak district much attention on his lecture tours...

He was in the peak about 6 or 7 years ago. Maybe a bit longer ago. I vaguely recall him doing BP. Or something like that.

He said he was trying Mcclure's mutations at his lecture yesterday. I wonder if he got out today, it was quite a nice day in the Peak!
