On Friday (20th February) Chris Sharma climbed another grade 9 sport route this time on the conglomerate of Margalef, Spain, proposing a grade of 9a+. This maybe Sharma's tenth route of the new magic grade.
In reply to UKC News: So is Sharma generally considered by those in the know to be back at the top of the sport then? I know around the time Patxi Usogobia (?) onsighted that 8c+, and adam ondra and edu marin etc were crushing in siurana, there was talk that perhaps Sharma wasnt the best in the world. Recently though he seems to be producing a LOT of hard routes. Is it a case of we only here about his? Or is it that Usogobia/Ramon Julien etc are all in their 6 month training period or something?
Or is he the best? Sounds that way. Impressive stuff. They look like small holds for him too!
