Excellent, my favourite season on the internet. Long evenings on the carousel of forecast pages, exhaustingly positive guide blogs, forum ethics jousts and eternally hilarious jokes about Kinder Downfall, all so I can turn up in a slushy car park at 5am to pretend not to race some other voices behind headtorches for the soft-touch grade whatever that's been hacked out on the UKC Conditions page, then spray about it later on Instagram. "Scotland delivers!"

I went out for a run in the Norries on Sunday and was composing my irate post in my head as I drove over. I was disappointed as stuff was definitely in nick.
