It's Mike Lates I think you'll find - though he is from the Lakes.

Excellent, my favourite season on the internet. Long evenings on the carousel of forecast pages, exhaustingly positive guide blogs, forum ethics jousts and eternally hilarious jokes about Kinder Downfall, all so I can turn up in a slushy car park at 5am to pretend not to race some other voices behind headtorches for the soft-touch grade whatever that's been hacked out on the UKC Conditions page, then spray about it later on Instagram. "Scotland delivers!"

Spot on! Not had the annual ethics thread yet... I guess conditions have actually been ok for the time of year.

I had the first 2 hours of the week set aside to read them only to find an eerie silence & tumbleweed blowing through the winter forum. Very disappointing.

I went out for a run in the Norries on Sunday and was composing my irate post in my head as I drove over. I was disappointed as stuff was definitely in nick.
