The Climbing Hangar, 4 kbThe Climbing Hangar in Liverpool has unveiled its second phase, possibly placing it as either the largest or second largest bouldering wall in Britain.

The Climbing Hangar hosts the 'Best in the West' competition on Saturday April 30th. The cash prize purse is £2000 with £500 for both male and female first place and over £1500 worth of prizes awarded by a raffle draw of all comp entry forms...

In reply to UKC Gear: Great wall, lots of variety, well set and thoughtful problems, chilled atmosphere, mad angles, stunning coffee. Get down there, why bother with the other place?

A tad harsh on "the other place" but yes I agree.

Iv been going there since the place opened and it's a fantastic facility.
Most of the moves they create due to the angles of the walls transfer well to outside bouldering. The staff are friendly and oh yer the coffee rocks!!!

Go give the place a try.

But I agree the walls, problems and staff are all tippity tip top and ace.

Much fun to be had ..

New area is dead good and ace too bty !!

That's a good mantra to keep chanting Dave!

The new steep roof and corner wave-wall are excellent.

All we need now is a cold breeze blowing in through the hangar door to reduce the greenhouse temps and make the sloping Core pinches on the systems board a bit more appealing!
