One foot in Kyrgyzstan, one foot in China:  Robert Taylor on the ridge traverse leading to the summit of Mur Samir.  Photo Copy, 3 kbThree members of the Edinburgh University Mountaineering Club report on their recent expedition to the Torugart-Too mountains on the Kyrgyzstan – China border.

i feel the article needs proof reading

We did use an Argos single skin dome for a bivi tent. You can see it as a dot pitched on the glacier beneath Adam in the last photo. It's black rather than orange, and we replaced the poles & pegs with more lightweight ones. Still hundreds of pounds cheaper than a "proper" bivi tent, and these argos Proaction tents are completely indestructible!

Hmm, think the photo might be of Bein a Bhuird from near the head of the Slugain?

Al is right about the location, Beinn a'Bhuird from the south. You can read more about the expedition on our blog, there is a link to it at the bottom of the article...

We received some sponsorship to help with the costs of the expedition, without which there is a good chance we could not have gone, but we are not people who are sponsored to go climbing full time. We are amateur "weekend" climbers...
