[Mikey Robertson solo on the Lloyd's Building in London, 3 kb]Mikey Robertson has been up to his old tricks again. The often naked, deep-water-solo enthusiast has soloed up the side of the fourteen-story Lloyd's building on Lime Street in London.

Dressed in a smart suit, but with rock boots and chalk bag, Robertson climbed the 88 metre building onsight and free. We don't have a grade for the line as yet, but it is thought to be technically quite reasonable.

Did anyone see him top out? Does it still count?
 Jack Geldard 19 Jun 2009
In reply to Martin76: As far as I can tell it's a new route. Do you know any different?
 Jack Geldard 19 Jun 2009
In reply to fizzy_elephant: I think we'll give it to him! The ascent is there to be improved upon of course

I'll need to see a detailed description. Looks a bit eliminate.

In reply to Martin76: Clearly the big question is: What's the state of the fixed gear? And did Mikey check it out in time for the new guidebook?!

Be interesting to see how Lloyds deal with this. They're already playing down their role in Burma. It'd be a concern if they decided to prosecute. Looks like he's been arrested on grounds of aggrevated trespass and breach of the peace.

Great piece of news, thanks. Wonder if you could parcour off the top to escape the police. Suspect they will just detain him for a bit for questioning.

In reply to UKC News: It's good to see a proper rebel with a conscience. We have it pretty easy over here and it's a timely reminder of the sheer determination of Ang San to hold out for a just solution to the ruination of her country. Good on you Mikey.
