Have done a lot of googling and UKC thread searching.

Have a Flexor Superficialis tear (partial thickness) at the insertion point with the muscle.

Does anyone have any resources on rehabilitation of a flexor tendon tear - be it taping, stretching, rest times and considerations?

Any personal experience of timelines or advice that helped?

Have you had it checked by a doctor and confirmed that it doesn't need surgery?

I can't really comment much on partial tears, but I got mine cut through in an accident with a glass and had a surgical repair (this was also in my finger, so nowhere near the insertion point).

After 4 weeks in a splint, it was into physio starting with very gentle (i.e. only lift 500g)  exercise and working back up to normal use in about 8 weeks. One thing I learned is that tendons have a poor supply of blood (and therefore nutrients with which to repair themselves). My physio got me to do alternating ice / hot water bathing to promote circulation.
