Hi all, any wisdom on magnets that work well for add a move type games on indoor walls?

I looked into this a while ago and it all depends on the bolts used on the holds... stainless won't stick... tried it with some neodymium magnets.

To contribute but not answer your question in any way at all, I was always under the impression that one of the benefits of add a move was that you need to remember the sequence - a good redpoint skill - and labelling holds would remove that.

I agree with Ian. The learning process strengthens visualisation skills and movement precision etc. It's something that translates very well to climbing outdoors.

Thanks - do you mean that the neodymium ones worked or not?

In reply to Jim Houghton:

They are strong magnets but they don't stick to A2 or A4 stainless bolts... they stick lovely to ordinary steel bolts...
