I was on the opposite side of the stream to the climbs in this area a few years back and, from what I can remember, the stream looked like an uncrossable torrent. Perhaps that was because of the thaw at the time. Can anyone tell me if there is a preferred crossing point to get to the Number Three Gully area? 

I think there must have been a thaw. Shouldn't be a problem at present (except you might have to wear crampons).

We walked down the stream with crampons on Sunday coming off No.6. People climbing the lower waterfalls!

What’s the state of Elliot’s Downfall?

Hadn't touched down yet on Sunday evening. Warm yesterday, and cooler again today with new snow on the hills.

The flight from Bristol was cancelled because of snow, so unfortunately I never got there.
