Hi there, does anyone know about ice conditions in Beinn Udlaidh?
we are thinking to give a go tomorrow.

no idea of condition on the ground, though at a guess I would say tomorrow is probably a b it premature? the ice formed remarkably quickly before xmas in the mini 'big freeze' we had, but then it was REALLY cold ie getting below -10 in corries at night. at the moment at that altitude it has only been a few degrees below zero for a week or so. by all means go for a walk though and tell us! there will probably be enough snow in the gullies even if there I no meaningfull ice

I don't think there's much chance it'll have formed to much extent. I start thinking about going to Udlaidh after about 5 days of hard frosts and around zero daytime temps in Glasgow. It was cold for about a week last time it was in, and conditions were still a bit thin and cruddy despite that.
