That's my question in the title.... I've only got 2 warthogs and 3 ice hooks.

Best routes in that grade that are manly on ice or rock pro or is that enough?

Or... anyone in either edinburgh or blantyre why have a few warthogs that could lend tonight?

Cheers

That's plenty...3 hooks, wow! Should get you up most routes.

Hoe about Recess Route, plenty of other gear there.

In reply to Heike:

Yeh reckon yeah?, not done a route there before.

Recess Route would be cool then, we'll see how we get on.....

Also R.e next weekend, I've got a wedding on the Sat but Sun would be cool.

Cheers Heike.

In reply to oly-l: Recess route is definitely possible with no turf gear at all. I had none when I did north wall groove either though maybew a single bulldog would be worth taking on that. Don't remeber needing any on right angle gully either.

I usually only carry 2 hooks (one big one small)in the southern highlands and perhaps a third if the route has a reputation for boldness. You have plenty of turf gear, but look for rock gear first (got any pegs?) - it's much more likely to actually hold a fall.

In reply to neil the weak:

That's cool, cheers for that. All good to know.

In reply to Burnsie:

Yeh got pegs. All good to know, I was under the impression that you needed some stupid amount of turf gear for routes on the cobbler, seems not to be the case, Cheers.
In reply to oly-l:

I can't think of any V or VI on Cobbler, where turf gear would be necessary! Size 10 Hex yes.

In reply to Stuart the postie:

Yeh fair enough. Sounds like getting gear on routes up there isn't as much of a problem as i'd imagined it to be...

Cheers.
