Met at least 4 parties at the crag yesterday none of which knew the name of their route with any certainty. We did what we think is Window Gully but others have suggested it was K9. It had an ice screem behind which we had to wriggle like maggots to escape through a tiny window opening. If its not Window Gully it should be - any reliable route knowledge out their?

Have you taken a look at the photos in the route database? K9 is quite distinctive from underneath, a big R-facing corner system up to a wide band of overhangs where the line sneaks round the LH end of the curtain.

The Window on Window Gully is a big hole near the top of Window Ridge, a good 2m high in summer conditions.

Hi Alan, I was the chap in front of you yesterday. I just checked the guidebook and what we did was not Window Gully, rather some odd non-descript variation of K9.

We missed out the upper icefall of K9 as it was getting dark and it seemed well off the natural line...

Cheers
