Looking good for the season up on Beacon Batch yesterday. If this carries on I reckon Hodor Waterfall in Sandford will be perfect start of December -should go at about III/IV.

Anybody else got plans for the winter season down here?

If my leaky gutter freezes it will be very delicate & go at about V, but the toilet overflow will be at least a VI. But as both are on private land I'll be able to charge for access.......

The The Alpine Ridge (M) at FCQ beckons!

In reply to The Ivanator:

I gather there is a team  looking at the waterfall at Nancy Camel's Hump as we speak.

Nancy Camel's Hump.

Quite possibly the best 10m of ice south of the Thames.

And no access issues other than parking.

In a state of decay? Definitely for the last few years.

If we’re talking south generally, Newquay’s finest icefall need a repeat.

Smear Today, Gone Tomorrow (II/III)

Nearly dropped below 7°c today...

Exactly. Alpine ridge is about as likely to be in good condition. I did it a long while ago during one of the "great freezes" and even then it was a barely held together pile of mush that we only did because it was something to do...
