Hi,

Just after a wee bit of info on current state of Neptune Gully if anyone's done it in the last couple of days? Big cornice? Not much info in the guide book on the top out.

In reply to soularch: Is that Neptune Gully on Ben Nevis? If so, I did it today and it's in very nice condition. The easterly wind has scoured it so there's not much soft snow in it, just neve and ice. It finishes up a ridge so there is no cornice at the top.

In reply to soularch: Thanks for the feedback, we decided on Stob Ban for tomorrow after we saw the latest avalanche forecast, but we can maybe change plans. Did you exit somewhere to the left of No.5 up top, or retreat back down somewhere? Thanks!
