In case anyone hasn't seen todays Weatherline report:

"There has been a significant rockfall on the Red Tarn face of Helvellyn. There is evidence to suggest that is has come from Gully 2, but the debris (some of the blocks of rock must easily weigh 2-3 tons) has crossed over the broken ground at the bottom of Gully 1 Buttress and is now sitting between Red Tarn and the base of Gully 1. As none of the climbs are complete, no climbers are likely to be exploring here, but should we get further wintry conditions anyone venturing onto this area will need to take great care and assess the stability of the rock for themselves."
