So with the terrible weather around here, instead if driving north to Scotland we are going to drive south to the alps for some skiing. Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap accommodation until Saturday night. We are flexible on locations......

Friendly clean place, may be fully booked though due to time of year

Thanks for the suggestion but there's no room at the inn. Any other ideas out there?

In reply to Matt Schwarz: this is a great place in tignes but i think you will find it fully booked its in les bresivier the lower of the tignes villages.

Hotel Richmonde in Chamonix. Not the cheapest but if you ask for an alpiniste room (top floor, old servant quarters) it will be cheaper.

Just a great place to stay - genuine family run place (the tweed-suited grandfather is usually found hovering around reception, old fashioned and charming, plaque in the garden says Mallory lived there foir a time, as I recall.
