I'm on the hunt for some decent sized drifts of snow within an hour or two of skipton area. needs to be off road, with suitable parking somewhere nearish though and big enough for a few people to dig into for the night!

anyone seen any that fit the bill?

In reply to Northern Climber: There are huge drifts at Blackshaw Head (Hebden Bridge) which people have already built snowholes in.
In reply to Northern Climber:

Descent path off Pen Y Ghent, usually an obvious limestone slab, just before you turn left toward Hunt Pot. ENORMOUS snow drift.
