A new guidebook to the Valle Dell'Orco in northwest Italy has prompted something of a revival in trad climbing amongst normally conservative Italian climbers. Luca Signorelli takes a look at the book and its impact on the scene, where a debate very familiar to UK climbers is currently raging.
