The ultimate for cold cragging days or for climbers who suffer from cold hands, the Hot Forge Heated Chalk Bag's innovative 3-level heating system lets you dial in the exact level of warmth for any condition.

Sure, we've all been there. You're lured in by "sending temps" then BAM! You're hanging on the end of the rope due to a case of numb fingers. Well, at Black Diamond, we set out to once and for all crush the problem of numb fingers, and now we're proud to introduce the Hot Forge Heated Chalk Bag. Built for climbers who suffer from cold hands, or those who are in constant pursuit of the high friction but still battle with numb tips, the Hot Forge Heated Chalk Bag combines our innovative 3-level heating system utilized in our ground-breaking Solano gloves, with the technology of our Hot Forge insulating jacket, to give you the ultimate sending machine. By combining 80-gram insulation with our Hot Forge design, we landed on a bag that not only houses the heating element, but also traps heat effectively. What we created is a revolutionary heated chalk bag with three different temperature settings depending on the level of numbing out you typically experience given the ambient climbing conditions.

  • Heat your fingertips, knuckles and palms by gripping the ergonomically-designed heating element
  • Lightweight fabric shell surrounds the heating system
  • 80 g Thinsulate® insulation helps retain the heat
  • Includes Lithium-Ion battery and wall charger with international adapters

Definitely getting one of these. It beats strapping two hairdryers to my forearms which is what I've been doing up till now.

Fabulous, and on a chilly one somewhere to keep my gerbil while I climb.

Me to, it looks great, I was hoping they would develop a heated pick for perfect first time placements for ice, save all that swinging and hitting! I would have used them today on the downfall!

Incidentally, where do you get a long enough extension lead from for the hair dryers? Or do you plug in at D's brew stop and get just enough cable to get up Rubicon?

I know this is an April fools, but as a Raynaud's sufferer I'd genuinely pay good money for something like this!
