Enviromental sustainability has been one of the main driving forces behind EDELRID products for many years and the #climbGREEN range continues that trend. From the Parrot rope, made using upcycled yarns, to our Bulletproof carabiner range we strive to make products that are not only manufactured in a sustainable fashion, but that also last. After all, longer life means less replacement.

For 2022, we have taken this commitment even further with our Eco carabiner range. All carabiners in this range have no anodisation, cutting out the need for harsh chemicals and extra processing. They also look pretty cool. What's not to like?

HMS BULLETPROOF BELAY ECO (RRP: £31)

Robust belay carabiner with our proven steel insert from the Bulletproof range.

The HMS Bulletproof Belay Eco is a new direction for Edelrid's carabiner range. The integrated spring bar reliably prevents the carabiner from twisting in the tie-in loop so as to eliminate the risk of cross loading. In addition, the bar can only be opened if pressed from above, preventing the tie-in loop from accidentally changing position.

Thanks to the compact design and slide gate closure it has a slender profile and can be operated one-handed.

Our best-selling Bulletproof HMS now with our Eco finish.

Innovative, robust HMS biner with steel insert at the apex. Prevents premature wear and burrs or sharp edges. The screw gate can be operated quickly, one-handedly and intuitively. Also makes a lighter alternative to a steel carabiner for top-roping.
