EDELRID may now have a solution...

The Swift Protect Pro Dry on the face of it is identical to our normal Swift Pro Dry. It is a triple-rated, 8.9mm, dry treated rope ideal for anything from sport climbing redpoints to alpine mountaineering.

So, why the word 'Protect'?

The Swift Protect has Aramid fibers incorporated into it's sheath. This gives this 8.9mm rope the same cut resistance as a big and bulky 10.0mm rope. Despite the Aramid reinforcement, the Swift Protect handles and has the exact same elongation values as the standard Swift Pro Dry.

• When used as a single rope, not suitable for top-rope or workout climbing
• Permanently water-repellent and dirt-resistant, thanks to the Pro Dry finish
