Berghaus marks 40 year GORE-TEX partnership with new Hillwalker jacket range Gear News

Berghaus is marking 40 years of working with WL Gore & Associates by launching a collection of GORE-TEX® jackets at the heart of the brand’s walking range. Berghaus is the first brand to the market with a new initiative, which will feature in the men’s and women’s Hillwalker and Hillwalker Long jackets for spring/summer 2017. Their introduction kicks off a series of major waterproof apparel launches scheduled for this year.

In 1977, Berghaus was the first company to introduce GORE-TEX® products to Europe. 40 years later and the partnership between the two brands is as strong as ever. The Hillwalker jackets are the latest extensions to the Berghaus GORE-TEX® range in an initiative that offers premium performance waterproofs designed for hiking, positioned at accessible price points.

All of the Hillwalker products are made out of bluesign® approved 2L GORE-TEX® Performance Shell fabric with a durable ripstop nylon face. Features on the Hillwalker jacket include a robust front zip with storm flap, rollaway hood and two lower handwarmer pockets. The Hillwalker Long jacket also features an external zipped chest pocket and inter-active front zip, so it can be combined with Berghaus fleece products

Both jackets are available in men’s and women’s specific versions and in a wide range of sizes. The Hillwalker Long jacket retails at £170 and the Hillwalker jacket retails at £150, an entry price point for Berghaus 2L GORE-TEX® technology and design.
