Rope Race is an independent Climbing and Activity Centre established over 25 years ago. We have a wealth of experience delivering indoor and outdoor climbing as well as other adventurous activities. 

We are looking for a lively and enthusiastic instructor who also can, or is willing to learn to route set. For the right candidates, both full time and part-time positions are available. 

We are also looking for part-time desk and reception staff working flexible hours in reception and our café.

As an Instructor:-

Duties include:

• Working in reception taking cash and card payments.
• Taking phone calls and making bookings.
• Customer service.
• Delivering climbing sessions to a variety of groups of all ages and abilities, including but not limited too: adults, children, beginners, coaching, birthdays/groups and, school holiday activities.
• Route setting.
• Working in the café.
• Weekend and evening availability is essential.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in the climbing industry.
• Ability to lead indoors comfortably at grade 6a.
• RCI/SPA or CWA/CWI qualifications.
• Relevant industry knowledge.
• Self-motivated.
• Flexible and creative approach to work.
• Computer literate.

Desired Skills:

• CWDI or RCDI qualified.
• Archery qualification.
• Paddle sports qualifications.
• Active on social media.
• Trailer Licence (B+E).
• Interest in team building.
• Knowledge of Rock Gym Pro.
• Coaching experience (Foundation/Development Coach).

As Reception/Café staff:-

Duties include:

• Working in reception taking cash and card payments.

• Customer service.
• Taking an active role in planning and posting on social media accounts.
• Working and stocking the café.
• Being responsible for birthday party food.
• General cleaning roles.
• Greeting and signing in customers.

Required Skills:

• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Time keeping.
• Self-motivated.
• Flexible and creative approach to work.
• Computer literate.

Desired Skills:

• Active on social media.
• Previous relevant industry experience.
• Interest in team building.
• Knowledge of Rock Gym Pro.
• Experience in and around climbing generally.
