Social Media and Content Editor, Outside - Hathersage Jobs

© Outside.co.uk

Outside is one of the UK's best known independent outdoor retailers and our online presence is key to our continued success. We're committed to offering the same high quality service to our online customers that they receive in our Hathersage store; through detailed, accurate product information, product reviews and faultless customer service.

We're looking to grow our small online team with the addition of a social media and content editor; someone to act as a first point of contact with our community online, producing engaging content to drive revenue.

About the role

Working in Hathersage as part of Outside's small Web Team, you'll produce appealing and relevant social media graphics, copy and video in line with our brand, to help us build strong relationships with our customers, followers and key influencers. You'll also work on website content, including blog and video material, as well as website product content support.

You'll be familiar with all social platforms and demonstrate a history of posting about the outdoors in general and preferably climbing in particular. You'll liaise with Outside shop staff, suppliers and community leaders in the search for up-to-date content, and engage with end-users to encourage conversations across all social platforms. Excellent written communication skills are essential, and you'll have an eye for detail and an interest in outdoor gear.

We'll also need some assistance with keeping our website content up to date and fresh, so ideally, we're also looking for experience with Magento or similar content management systems, as well as Adobe Creative Suite programmes and the usual Microsoft Office apps.
